The Bottleneck is THE place to go for live music in Lawrence. The building at 737 New Hampshire has not always been the home of live music in Lawrence though. It has been home to everything from a roller rink to a paper warehouse. In the 80’s it finally took shape as a live music club.
In 1985 The Bottleneck got its name in honor of the numerous varieties of beer available. Their journey began with a regular Monday evening open mic night giving local talent the opportunity to take the stage in front of friends and fans. From there, The Bottleneck soon cemented its status as a scheduled stop on many major city national tours giving the Lawrence community access to some of the best names in modern music.
They only have a seating capacity of 350 so if you see someone on their schedule you would like to see do not wait to get your tickets.
